got questions? We've got answers.

  • How do I get started?

Every member starts with a Performance Consultation—a brief conversation with an Ironclad coach to talk about your goals, answer your questions, and learn how we can best support you. From there, we’ll help you build a plan around your goals and find the membership that’s the right fit for your journey.

  • Can I do my Performance Consultation on the same day I do my first workout?

Absolutely! If you’re ready to get started, we can schedule your Performance Consultation before your first class on the same day. This gives us a chance to talk through your goals, answer any questions, and make sure you’re set up for a great first workout. If you need help coordinating the timing, we’re happy to help.

  • Do I need a certain level of fitness to join?

Not at all. You don’t need to be in great shape before you start—we’ll meet you where you are and help you build from there.

Our coaches adjust movements, training loads, and intensity based on your experience, current ability, and goals. Whether you’re new to structured training or have been training for years, we’ll help you find the appropriate starting point and continue to challenge you as you progress.

  • Who attends these classes? Is everyone an athlete?

Not in the traditional sense—and that’s exactly what we like about it.

Our classes bring together people with a wide range of goals, backgrounds, and training experience. Some are competitive athletes preparing to perform at a high level. Others are simply looking to get stronger, move better, stay active, or build the fitness and capability to enjoy life outside the gym.

We believe being an athlete isn’t defined by competition. It’s defined by your willingness to train with purpose and become more capable. Our coaches meet each person where they are and adjust the training to provide the right challenge for their goals and ability.

  • What is an Everyday Athlete class like?

Everyday Athlete classes are coach-led, 60-minute strength and conditioning sessions designed to build well-rounded fitness for real life. Each class has a different focus, but the full week is intentionally programmed to develop strength, endurance, mobility, and overall physical capability.

Every session follows a planned progression: a guided warm-up, movement technique review and practice, a water break, and a workout. Throughout the session, your coach is there to provide instruction, monitor your movement, and make adjustments when needed.

  • What is a HYROX Performance class like?

HYROX classes are coach-led, 60-minute sessions designed to develop the strength, endurance, and work capacity needed for HYROX competition. Like Everyday Athlete, each session has a specific focus, while the full week provides a well-rounded approach to fitness and performance.

Every class follows a planned progression: a guided warm-up, movement technique review and practice, a water break, and a workout. Your coach will supervise your training throughout the session, providing instruction and adjusting movements when needed.

  • What's the difference between Everyday Athlete and HYROX Performance Classes?

The biggest difference is how the workout is structured. HYROX classes are generally station-oriented, with participants working at a designated station for a prescribed amount of time before rotating to the next movement.

Both are 60-minute, coach-led classes with purposeful programming and plenty of variety. Everyday Athlete takes a broader approach to strength, conditioning, mobility, and movement, while HYROX uses a station-based format and training that more closely mirrors the demands of a HYROX race.

  • What if I’ve never done HYROX before?

No problem! You don’t need any previous HYROX experience to get started. Our HYROX Performance classes are designed to accommodate athletes of all experience levels. Everyone follows the same class structure, while your coach adjusts the weight, intensity, and movement variations to match your experience and current ability.

  • How often should I attend classes?

Consistency is what drives progress. While everyone’s schedule and resulting training demands look different, we generally recommend 3–4 classes per week to give your body the consistent training stimulus it needs to adapt, recover, and get stronger.

The right training frequency ultimately depends on your goals, experience, current fitness level, and the demands you place on your body outside of Ironclad. Whether you’re training for competition, pursuing better everyday performance, or working toward a specific goal, we want your training to be purposeful and sustainable.

Not sure what frequency is right for you? That’s exactly what your Performance Consultation is for. We’ll talk through your goals, training background, and schedule and help you develop a plan that provides the right volume of training to support your progress.

  • What should I bring to class?

All you need is a water bottle, athletic shoes, and comfortable workout clothing. We’ll take care of the rest!

  • What can I expect on my first day?

Your first step is to schedule a Performance Consultation. This gives us an opportunity to get to know you, learn about your goals and training background, and understand what you’re looking for. From there, we’ll help you determine the right membership and make sure you know what to expect as you get started.

Once you’re ready for your first class, plan to arrive 5 minutes early. Our coaches will show you how to check-in, walk you through the class, make sure you understand the movements, and help you find the right starting point for your experience and ability. You’ll be training alongside a welcoming, supportive community where everyone is encouraged to work hard and get better.

All you need to bring is comfortable athletic clothing, appropriate training shoes, and a water bottle. We’ll take care of the rest!

  • How many people are in each class?

We believe exceptional coaching requires the ability to see the individual, not just the group. That’s why we’re intentional about keeping our classes small enough for our coaches to provide meaningful instruction, feedback, and attention to detail.

Our Everyday Athlete classes are limited to 12 participants, while HYROX Performance classes are limited to 16. These limits allow us to maintain the high level of coaching and personal attention that we deliver for  every person who walks through our doors.

  • How long does it take to see results?

There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. How quickly you see results depends on where you’re starting, what you’re working toward, how consistently you train, and how well you recover between sessions.

You may notice changes in how you move, feel, and perform within the first few weeks, but meaningful and lasting results take time. Strength, fitness, and performance are built through consistent effort—not quick fixes.

Our coaches will help you establish realistic goals, track your progress, and adjust your training as you develop. The goal isn’t simply to get results quickly. It’s to build results that last.
